Zlatá Koruna Monastery
One of the best-preserved Gothic monasteries in Central Europe, a short way downstream on the Vltava.
The Cistercian monastery of Zlatá Koruna was founded in 1263 and is today one of the most precious Gothic monuments in the Czech Republic. The tour takes you through the church, the cloister and the chapter house.
Get there by car, by bike along the Vltava cycle path, or combine it with a river trip – the Krumlov–Zlatá Koruna stretch is one of the loveliest.
The village also has a popular campsite and riverside pubs.
