The Vltava around Krumlov is one of the most popular paddling stretches in the Czech Republic. The shortest route runs right through the historic centre and takes about an hour; longer stretches start at Rožmberk or Vyšší Brod, or continue on towards Zlatá Koruna.

Canoe and raft rental companies provide transfers to the start and back, life jackets and waterproof barrels. No experience is needed for the shorter stretches – just a healthy respect for the weirs.
