Kleť – lookout tower and observatory
The highest peak of the Blanský Forest, with the oldest stone lookout tower in Bohemia and views of the Alps.
Kleť (1,084 m) dominates the whole region. On the summit stand the oldest stone lookout tower in Bohemia and an observatory. On a clear day you can see the Šumava mountains and even the Alps.
You can ride the chairlift up from Krasetín or follow waymarked hiking trails, for example from Holubov or Chalupy. There's a mountain hut with refreshments at the top.
It's the perfect trip for a day when you fancy swapping cobbled lanes for forest and views.
