Český Krumlov Castle and Gardens
The second-largest castle complex in the Czech Republic, with a Baroque theatre and gardens with a revolving auditorium.
After Prague Castle, Český Krumlov Castle is the second-largest castle complex in the Czech Republic and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. Wander through five courtyards, cross the Cloak Bridge and climb the castle tower for a view over the whole town in its bend of the Vltava.
The guided tours require a ticket; the real gem is the Baroque castle theatre with its original working stage, visited only in small groups – book tickets in advance. The castle gardens are open to all in season, and in summer performances are held on the revolving open-air auditorium.
The walk from us leads through the historic centre, so you'll pass through náměstí Svornosti (Svornosti Square) on the way.
