Lipno Reservoir is the largest body of water in the Czech Republic. In summer it's great for swimming, sailing and cycling – a network of cycle paths and in-line skating tracks runs around the lake.

The Treetop Walk takes you along a wooden boardwalk up to a 40 m lookout tower with views of the Šumava and the Alps. Kids love the bobsleigh track and the rope park.

In winter Lipno has a ski resort with family-friendly slopes and groomed cross-country trails.
