Český Krumlov by bus from Prague and beyond

Getting to Český Krumlov without a car is easy. The bus is often quicker than the train here – it runs direct and stops just a short way from the centre. And if you’re staying with us, the hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the bus.

By bus from Prague

Direct coaches run from Prague to Český Krumlov with RegioJet and FlixBus. The journey takes around 3 hours, with several departures a day. It’s worth buying tickets online in advance, especially in summer and at weekends.

From elsewhere

  • From České Budějovice there are frequent buses and trains; the journey takes about 30–45 minutes.
  • From Linz and Vienna there are direct bus routes, plus shuttle services in season.
  • From Prague Airport, the quickest option is to head into the city and take a direct bus from there.

Where to get off

Two stops in Český Krumlov matter for us:

  • Český Krumlov, bus station (AN) – the main station where long-distance services stop. From here it’s about a 5-minute walk to us (approx. 300 m).
  • Český Krumlov, Špičák – an even closer stop, about a 4-minute walk.

If you come by train, bear in mind that the railway station is further from the centre, about 1.5 km from us.

Why the bus is a smart choice

  • No parking. The centre is closed to cars and the car parks are often full.
  • A short walk with your suitcase. From the bus to us is a few minutes along the pavement, not over the old town’s cobblestones.
  • Everything on foot. The centre, the castle and the canoe rentals are all within easy reach.

Day trips without a car

Even without a car you can reach plenty of places from Krumlov: Zlatá Koruna along the cycle path or by canoe on the Vltava, České Budějovice by train or bus, and Lipno by bus in season. We’re happy to help you plan a trip around the timetables.

In short

The bus to Krumlov is comfortable, quick and cheap. Get off at the AN bus station or at Špičák and you’ll be with us in five minutes – and you can spend your whole stay car-free.
